Thank you for another great storytelling year!
The fifth annual Festival of Stories wraps up another storytelling year. It was a wonderful two evenings of storytelling by some of Portland’s most accomplished tellers. I hope you were able to experience one or both nights. From Rick Huddle’s adventures with his “storytelling bus” – to Chetter Galloway’s moving story of his personal challenges and Gretchen Peterson’s touching story of La Conquistadoré, we thank every one of our fabulous, generous tellers for sharing a part of themselves through their stories.
This coming year the Guild will celebrate 31 years in Portland. If you would like to be a part of this vibrant, fun organization, consider joining. It only costs $25 and the very next event will be the annual celebration of members in August. That include lunch on us with ice cream cake for dessert. Not to mention a sneak preview of all the exciting things lined up for the coming year. To join, go to Join Us in the menu bar.
We hope to see you at our storytelling performances when they start again next September. Please watch our calendar for our fall storytelling and storyswap dates and check back here later in the summer to see our lineup of 2016-2017 workshops and special events.
