Join us for our monthly Story Swap and Potluck. On the SECOND Friday of each month from September through May, we gather in room 30 of the Multnomah Art Center, 7688 SW Capitol Highway in Multnomah Village.
This event is open to all — you do not need to be a member of the Portland Storyteller’s Guild to attend. We gather and share potluck foods and then share stories (5-7 min.) in a safe and welcoming environment. Listeners are welcome, too. Feedback can be given, but only upon request of the teller. Of course, you do not have to tell a story to fully enjoy the evening; listeners come away with at least a half dozen tales to enliven the following days and weeks.
Attendees are warmly invited to bring some food to share in our evening’s potluck. We ask that you be aware of known food allergies, which include nuts, shellfish, and citrus fruits, and avoid them in your contributions so everyone can partake of the potluck without worry.
This gathering is not formal and there is no entry fee; we just enjoy getting together and filling the room with laughter. This is a great chance for new people to get to know PSG members and some of the area’s storytellers. The Story Swap is an ideal place to try out new material or to hone a story you already know. And it is also wonderful to just sit back and listen to the wide range of tales that get shared each month.
Come and enjoy an evening filled with good food and stories.
