Roger Coles, Storyteller
Roger Coles has a wonderful voice for storytelling, it is rich and warm and friendly, as he weaves tales of the richness of the human spirit, the joys of childhood(his and yours), fool stories, strong women stories and the diversity of the human condition.  Roger is a founding member of the Portland Storytellers Guild and has been telling stories for over twenty-five years.

Roger has told at several regional events – Bumbershoot, Artquake, the NW Folklife Festival, Stories by the Sea in Newport, Oregon, and libraries and bookstores throughout the region.  Roger is a frequent teller at Portland Storytellers Guild concerts for adults and children at the Kennedy School and A Children’s Place Bookstore.

Roger has a cassette (soon to be CD) called MANHOLES IN THE SKY with eight stories on it, five of which are original stories, written by Roger.  Roger was a frequent guest on the cable show EVERYONE A STORYTELLER, and a host on KBOO’s  radio storytelling show, TALL TALES, MYTHS AND LEGENDS.

Roger takes his training and talent in voice work, movement, physical theater, music and
dance to weave the pieces of dreams and fantasy and inner knowing into stories that are truly his own and a gift for the audience.  Roger is available for special events, school programs, private parties and residencies.  Contact him for all the wonderful details.
