About the Teller

I was born in New York City in 1944.  Many years later I worked as a children’s librarian and that is where I discovered my love for storytelling.  Since my late husband was German, I spent many years in Germany, although Portland was always my main home.
I founded the Portland Storytellers Guild along with Ken Iverson and am amazed how large it has grown.
Themed Programs
“Laughter and Tears” :  A collection of Jewish stories from Chelm, King Solomon plus religious and folk tales.  The program lasts for 45 minutes.
“Circus on the Streets”  : Jewish family stories from the Lower East Side (New York City)  This is an original show which I created from my family stories.  The show also has slides and music.
“Dinner For Four” : I “interview” Oscar Wilde, Frida Kahlo and Hans Christian Andersen and ask them questions about their lives and work.
