About the Teller
Cynthia hosts story circles offering participants opportunities to hone stories and storytelling skills. She is particularly entranced by tales of transformative moments that altered tellers’ appreciation of life’s meaning, beliefs, or faith. With insight and kindness, Cynthia supports remembering and compellingly communicating magical moments, a process that deepens emotional bonds with these powerful revelations, to claim and integrate them into lived life. She is based in western Oregon and is an Interfaith Minister and Eco-Chaplain.
With a deep affinity with the natural world, Cynthia’s personal stories and wisdom tales center on communing with wildlife and the land while animal tracking and observing nature.
With many years as a story circle facilitator, teacher, and writer/teller of personal stories, Cynthia inspires and guides the creation and sharing of stories of wisdom transmitted through astonishing encounters.
Cynthia compassionately hosted a monthly Story Circle in Seattle for the Seattle Storytellers Guild for many years, encouraging members to cultivate and practice the craft of storytelling. She creates dynamic soulful programs and tells energetic, heartfelt stories for retreats and rituals. This has included telling stories at Seattle's Benaroya Hall, Seattle Storytellers Guild’s Tellabration™, the Sierra Storytelling Festival, Omega Institute, churches, and private occasions.
